work in progress.

the days, they came and they went. mostly jase just lazed around, not quite sure what to do or where to go, not knowing anybody. he knew where he was, kind of. in ohu territory, where all dogs who wanted to live in the so-called paradise were. to him, he didn't see so much of a paradise. he saw a place with many different places to explore, kind of quiet.. it was nice but defiently not up to paradise standards.

Ooc: Everytime the rules of capitalization are broken, a fairy dies

Ic:
While things were not going brilliantly for young Hanako, they certainly weren't sucking as much as they normally did. The Toller continued onward through the Ohu territory, she knew that her occupation as a loner was becoming more and more of a hazard and that - sooner or later - she was going to wind up dead or pregnant. Neither sounded particularly appetizing at this stage of her life.

She knew deep down that if she asked nicely, and offered up her services (however limited they may be) to the pack here, that they would (hopefully) grant her the shelter she needed. She had already saved the life of one dog here, and she hoped that they would take that into account.

No, Hanako was not a warrior. She was not particularly stealthy, she was not an assasin, and she was a very sympathetic hunter. In fact, the only use she would be of Ohu was as a pup-sitter, or perhaps a messenger in a time of crisis. But even the great doggies of Ohu needed that sometimes, right?

The red dog picked her way through the undergrowth, ears perked for movement, her nose twitching non-stop as she searched for some sign of life. She continued to run her speech through her head. 'Hello, my name is Hanako. I'm defenceless and I need a place to sleep. I saved a dog called 'Riki' awhile back, and I'm quite good at healing and pup-sitting. I understand if you don't have the room, but it would be very much appreciated if I could at least have a place to sleep until I get on my feet.' Even in her head it sounded pompous and formal, and no matter how she tried she could not get that tone to change. It was looking like she'd just have to wing it.

Just as this thought passed through her mind, she stopped dead. There was another dog up ahead; he was an interesting looking creature, not a breed that Ko had ever seen before, at least. She stood up straight as she could, took a deep breath and approached him, only now realizing what a sight she must appear: Mud and leaves clinging to her fur, her paws bloody and worn down, and her eyes had a dull, defeated glaze over them. She certainly didn't look the Ohu part...
"Um, hello. Sorry to disturb you...Are you Ohu?" Her appearance couldn't be helped, her only tool now was her manners.

ooc; and every time someone ignores the ' work in progress ' a multitude of things die. :) but i guess that will just be a horribly short post.

Jase's mind had just wandered off he supposed, it was safe enough here that he didn't have to worry about ' danger ' and other such things that he normally would have to in other territories. Yes, here was good. However, his day-dreaming was to be interrupted, and to be interrupted doing anything that he happened to be doing was somewhat of a sore spot for the mix.

"Um, hello. Sorry to disturb you...Are you Ohu?"

Cocking his head slightly and turning it in the direction of the feminine voice, he sighed. " Somehow, I don't think I am Ohu. Does it look like I am a large ' paradise ' territory to you? " He paused for a moment and contemplated rolling his eyes, but decided against it. " No, I didn't think so either. " The male continued, adding a chuckle onto the end of his sarcastic speech.

Jase proceeded to rise out of his sitting position and shake out his fur, cleanliness was next to godliness in his opinion, then circled around the orange female. She really wasn't much to look at, covered in mud and the seasons leaves, and her facial expression was quite pathetic really. She was certainly not up to his standards, and if she was looking for the dogs of Ohu, which her tone suggested she had better lose the feeling sorry for herself look.

He knew that they accepted all kinds of dogs from what he had heard, and in all reality he doubted that they would take someone who looked the way she did. Then again among other things, Jase was a male chauvinist and not to mention seriously shallow. All females were inferior to males, and if they didn't look pretty they should be casted aside. And this one didn't look pretty.

ooc.
Apparently, I just commited genocide.

ic.

"Somehow, I don't think I am Ohu. Does it look like I am a large paradise territory to you?" Hanako blinked uncertainly before forcing an unconvincing 'hah' out of her throat to satisfy his ego as best she could, but now he was moving around her. The Toller's tail tucked between her legs as he circled her, she felt as if she was being analyzed; and from the look on the male's face, she wasn't living up to expectations. Ruffled by his staring and unsatisfied expression, she bristled slightly.

"When having a conversation, it's polite to speak to one's face." she snapped at him, rotating to face this rude male. She put high stock on manners, and plus, she didn't feel comfortable with her back to him -- now that she knew he was not of Ohu, her feelings of security were fleeing as fast as a hamburger down a fat person's throat -- he could be one of 'those' males. You know, the ones Mama warned about.

"Since your not OF Ohu -- " she stressed the word 'of' to placate his apparent need to throw in sarcastic remarks about her rushed grammar "--You really can't help me. Unless you happen to know where I can find someone who is?" She normally wasn't this snippy -- she was a shy dog, a submissive female, however the travelling and the weather and everything else was scraping her last nerve -- and it seems that his disdainful behavior towards her had finally snapped it.
